Nancy Clark

3rd Grade Teacher

Biography

Nancy Clark received a B.S in Elementary Education and Specific Learning Disabilities from Florida Atlantic University (Florida Certification: Elementary Education K-6).  She is currently in her 25th year of teaching third grade at Cathedral Parish School.

A strong advocate for teaching to meet every student’s needs, she strives to make learning fun by incorporating song and movement into her lessons.   She integrates the use of technology into her curriculum by using a Smartboard, class laptops, and an ELMO document camera to keep students focused and engaged.  She believes the use of these differentiated instruction tools will help enhance the student’s learning.   Her professional interests focus on cooperative learning and STEM projects.  Her current projects include pairing up with the middle school science teacher for a volcano project and the middle school social studies teacher to have students create time lines together.  One activity that her third graders love is reading to their Kindergarten Book Buddies every week.

In addition, she serves as a Professional Teacher Mentor for new teachers, and served on the School Board as a teacher representative for 3 years.  She is a member of the School Improvement Plan Leadership Committee and the Catholic Schools Week Committee.  She serves as a Eucharistic Minister during weekly school Masses.
