Judy Lawrence

Biography
Judy Lawrence is a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in St. Augustine, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Jacksonville University (Florida Certification: Elementary Education K-6). She completed coursework towards her Master’s degree In education at the University of North Florida. She has been a teacher for 28 years and is currently in her 25th year of teaching first grade at Cathedral Parish School.
Her professional interests focus on differentiated and cooperative learning. She is a strong advocate for hands on learning, utilizing a variety of center-oriented learning activities to improve her students’ understanding of educational concepts. She regularly incorporates crafts into her daily lessons in order to enhance learning for all students. The use of iPads in her classroom encourages students’ ability to engage in technology. She also incorporates a variety of STEM lessons with her class.
In addition, she serves as the diocesan Master In-service Coordinator for the faculty at Cathedral Parish School. She also coordinates the Fire Safety program for the elementary grades.
