Mrs. Zinn started teaching in 2010. Prior to joining CPS in 2023, she taught all middle school subjects and grade levels.  She grew up near Chicago, IL and attended Illinois State University where she earned a Bachelors in Elementary Education. After teaching for a few years she went back to school for a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University - Chicago.

In her classroom, she utilizes small learning groups to ensure all children are meeting their educational goals and often incorporates games to ensure children are having fun while learning. She believes students should be active in the classroom and utilizes centers, music, and movement when possible. Her professional goal is to help students build perseverance. Watching kids celebrate after they accomplish a difficult task brings Mrs. Zinn joy.
